Jewelry Chest With Looking Glass (#692) - A tastefully rich design, this impressive piece is full of detail and is constructed of a variety of rare and unique hardwoods and veneers.

The body of the cabinet is made of Ash Burl, a figured veneer with small burls and curls throughout on a swirly cream-colored background. The drawer fronts and mirror details are Amboyna Burl, native to the West Indies. First made popular by the Art Deco masters, this wood is often used on dashboards in high-end cars and boats, in carved finials and feet on furniture, and in other high-class furniture and architectural details. It’s characteristics include a tightly-patterned russet and pumpkin orange figure and a distinct scent when sanded. The delicate details include Black Walnut and Maple coves, Wenge legs (a dense, charcoal black hardwood mainly from Zaire used best as an accent wood), and handles made of Black Obechi and “bark-included” Maple.

The large bottom drawer and eight small drawers are velvet-lined with removable partitions. This is a limited edition piece.
