Four-Drawer Jewelry Chest (#685) - A classically beautiful design, the Four-Drawer Jewelry Chest is a substantial piece. Each drawer measures 16 ½” L x 9 ½” W x 1 ¾” D. The top drawer has two long ring holders as well as partitions for varied sizes of jewelry. The three remaining drawers have additional large and small partitions that can be removed or reconfigured. All drawers are velvet-lined. The drawers are encased in a large cabinet perched elegantly on Curly Maple legs. We have chosen two veneer choices whose figures show especially well on expansive pieces:

1). Mottled Makore: A West African wood, Makore is straight grained in the hardwood form. In veneer form, the grain can range from a striped effect (as in Fiddleback Makore) to a block-patterned effect (as in Mottled Makore). Peach in color, the beautiful mottled pattern is really showcased in the Four-Drawer Chest.

2). Pommele Bubinga: Bubinga, an African wood, has one of the most varied figures we have ever seen. Figure ranges from wavy (as in Waterfall Bubinga), to swirled (as in Kawazingo), to Pommele (as seen in the Four-Drawer Chest). Richly figured, the Pommele Bubinga has an iridescent quality to it that is especially noticed on a large piece.

All other accents are in Curly Maple, a creamy wood with a subtle striped figure. This large chest is especially suited for customization and for showcasing collectibles (coins, pens, etc.)
